Horse-drawn Bus in front of the Waukegan House Hotel, c 1890. The passengers, in Victorian garb, may be arriving form or departing to the train station. The hotel, at the corner of Madison and Genesee Streets, was one of the earliest in town. It closed in 1902; horse-drawn cabs survived until 1922.
