The Waukegan Park District and Waukegan Historical Society are hosting the Something Waukegan This Way Comes Walking Tour on Thursday, August 22, 2026, from 6pm to 8pm starting at the Waukegan History Museum at the Carnegie. Celebrate Waukegan-born author Ray Bradbury's birthday! Visit the sites of Bradbury's Green Town (Waukegan) from his novels “Dandelion Wine,” “Farewell Summer,” and “Something Wicked This Way Comes.” The tour covers 1.5 miles and includes uneven ground and stairs.
