This book, published by the Society in 2010, explores the rich and diverse history of Waukegan and takes the reader from its earliest beginnings to today. Ed Link’s lively text is supplemented by over 200 photographs, maps and other images from the Waukegan Historical Society archives and other sources, including many previously unpublished items.

Waukegan's Legacy: Our Landmarks Revisited
This pamphlet, originally published in 1979 and reissued in 1990, features significant structures in Waukegan’s Near North Historic District. This District, mainly along Sheridan Road and several blocks west, was placed on the National Register of Historic Places by the Department of Conservation on May 3, 1978. There are 449 structures in the District. Twenty seven of these were also recognized as architecturally significant by the Waukegan Bicentennial Commission in November of 1976. Photos and brief histories of 57 of these buildings are featured here.

The Society, in cooperation with the Waukegan Park District, publishes a quarterly newsletter for its members and friends to keep them abreast of the latest events and happenings of the Society.
